WE ARE SERVICE. All of our clients receive full service, no matter the size or complexity of the project. We built our business on service, often exceeding even the loftiest expectations. When you call MRA you will not be put into a voice mail system, hoping someone will return your message in a timely manner. Instead, you will speak to an attentive MRA employee who will connect you to the person you need. We believe there is no substitute for developing a one-on-one professional relationship with each client. Going the extra mile is what keeps our clients and their clients coming back contract after contract.

MRA works with you and your customer through every stage of the project, from spec analysis and pre-bid to final delivery. From the moment an RFQ is received, during contract negotiations, and through to acceptance of your product - we are there. Our array of industry knowledge and expertise is at the base of every contract. No matter the question, request, or task at hand, a dedicated MRA project manager is always only a phone call, mouse click, or flight away.

Delivering superior and complete support services so you can concentrate on delivering a quality product is our number one priority.

Product Support Analysis and Spec Design

Our industry experience can help you specify the support you need for a vehicle RFP.

Maintenance Task & Skills Analysis

Make sure that your craft workers have the baseline skills to service and maintain your new or existing vehicles. Also, ensure that they are ready for the training you will provide.

After analysis, your report may show that your employees could benefit from a refresher in basics skills such as: Basic math, schematic and flowchart reading, test equipment usage, HVAC system review, mechanical devices, troubleshooting techniques, electrical concepts, electronics, computer skills, basic pneumatics and hydraulics, measuring tools, fasteners, lubricants and layout skills.
A complete program can be designed and delivered in a short time for an economical price. The return on your investment from this type of program will be seen for years to come.

Using specific car level and system level data along with our experience with railroad operations, we prepare general operating and over the road troubleshooting instructions for Vehicle Operators. The use and study of the manual along with proper training will enable the train crews to operate the cars safely and efficiently.

Using your engineering drawings, bills of material and related source data, we list and illustrate every replaceable part on your vehicle or equipment. The catalog is set up so that it is easy to use. It is completely cross referenced between figures and sections to assure quick identification and location of what parts need to be ordered to keep your trains running. All information is prepared in a manner that allows easy development of various custom applications to facilitate the way you buy, sell or order parts. Catalogs are typically delivered in rugged poly binders, searchable files, or in a custom interactive parts environment that can be installed on your server or hosted by MRA. See Online Parts Catalogs below for more info.

Compiled from your engineering data and equipment manufacturer prescribed recommendations, this manual is designed to provide the information necessary to perform those maintenance, servicing and minor repair procedures needed to optimize vehicle performance and to minimize its down time. The manual includes the maintenance schedules and tasks, vehicle and system level functional descriptions, troubleshooting, and minor repairs. It addresses a level of “on-vehicle” servicing and maintenance that can be performed on an inspection track, or which does not require the vehicle to be removed from service. Observance of these recommendations is critical to operation and maintenance of the equipment at design levels of safety and performance and to comply with warranty requirements.

Compiled from your engineering data and equipment manufacturer recommendations, the purpose of this manual is to provide the information necessary for those maintenance and repair procedures for the vehicle, its systems and equipment, that are more complex or extensive.

These include the removal of systems, components and equipment from the vehicle, and the detailed repair, overhaul and testing of those items in a shop environment; they generally assume that the vehicle is out of revenue service or the equipment has been removed from the vehicle for repair or servicing.

When today’s vehicle procurement specifications require “a thoroughly integrated schematic and narrative (ISN) detailing all electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems…” how do you plan to get this done? Do you know how much it will cost? Are your equipment suppliers aware of the requirements? Can they comply?
This is perhaps the most challenging specification to comply with. The Integrated Schematic and Narrative Document (ISN) is intended to provide a comprehensive source of information for use in troubleshooting and repairing vehicle and sub-system circuit-related conditions. The integrated format permits continuity in moving among circuits and in clarifying relationships and interfaces. This requirement involves two primary divisions: the vehicle level system, which MRA develops using the vehicle level schematics, and the subsystem level – usually developed by the supplier of the various subsystems: Aux. Power, Propulsion, Communications, Door Control, Friction Brakes, HVAC, Train Control, etc. These divisions must be prepared to the same specification so that all transfer of power or signal to, from or between the devices or subsystems are fully integrated.

We are able to offer unique solutions to the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) requirements found in many of today's vehicle specifications. Our approach is based on non-proprietary software that is economical and easily maintainable, while retaining the integrity and look of the published manuals. Our unique approach allows for the inclusion of data from a wide variety of sources; an essential control for any project involving multiple submitters who may have varying degrees of technical proficiency. We will evaluate your needs and offer a variety of functionalities, such as the automatic generation of scheduled maintenance procedures, the tracking of warranty-critical services and customized maintenance procedures based upon technician skill levels, to name but three.

Delivery of draft documentation typically occurs concurrently with vehicle delivery and is often a milestone that carries a significant payment. It is also a vital component to a successful training program.
In order to help you meet this contract milestone it is often necessary for MRA to gather data, write procedures and validate configuration at the manufacturing site. MRA makes site visits during the various stages of manufacture and often employs on site contractors to photograph, video and fulfill data requests during manufacturing to supplement raw engineering data.
Retrofits sometimes occur during vehicle commissioning and acceptance. When required, MRA can quickly respond to these situations by sending the right people there to witness the modification and document it onsite. In turn, your customer will view your commitment to product support and be assured that product documentation will be updated accurately and timely to reflect the as-built vehicle.
